Co-Presidents (2)

Role Summary

The Co-Presidents serve as the primary leaders of the Board, providing shared governance oversight and fostering strong alignment with the Co-Executive Directors. They co-lead the Board by setting meeting agendas, facilitating productive discussions, and supporting effective governance and decision-making. Acting on behalf of the Board, they supervise and support the Co-Executive Directors through regular communication, coaching, annual performance reviews, and collaborative goal setting. The Co-Presidents also serve as the primary liaison between the Board and staff leadership, support the Executive Committee in fulfilling its responsibilities, promote alignment with the organization’s mission and strategic priorities, and cultivate a collaborative, engaged, and accountable board culture.

Treasurer

Role Summary

The Treasurer provides oversight of the organization’s financial health and helps ensure responsible stewardship of its resources. In partnership with staff and fellow board members, the Treasurer co-chairs the Finance Committee with the Director of Operations, supports long-term financial planning, and helps the Board understand budgets, financial reports, and key financial indicators to inform decision-making. The Treasurer works with staff on the annual budgeting process, monitors organizational financial performance, promotes appropriate financial controls and risk management practices, supports compliance with financial reporting and regulatory requirements, and serves as a resource to strengthen financial literacy across the Board.

Secretary

Role Summary

The Secretary serves as a steward of the organization’s governance practices, records, and board effectiveness. Working closely with board and staff leadership, the Secretary co-chairs the Governance Committee with the Co-Executive Director of Client Services, leading efforts related to board recruitment, development, succession planning, education, and governance best practices. The Secretary maintains accurate board records and governance documentation, supports the onboarding and orientation of new board members, promotes effective communication across the Board, and partners with leadership to regularly review governance structures, policies, and practices that strengthen board accountability and effectiveness.

Development Committee Chair

Role Summary

The Development Committee Chair leads the Board’s efforts to support fundraising, donor engagement, and community relationship-building in partnership with staff and fellow board members. The Chair fosters a culture of philanthropy by encouraging board participation in fundraising activities, strengthening community connections, and helping ensure the Board plays an active role in advancing the organization’s sustainability and mission. In addition to fulfilling the expectations of all committee members, the Chair supports staff in coordinating fundraising initiatives, drives committee engagement and participation in the annual Fund-a-Thon, and helps ensure the committee’s work remains organized, collaborative, and aligned with the organization’s development goals.
